I took a very adventurous trip to New York for Photoville and my time there leant itself to serendipity the entire time. On the day before my birthday I found myself in East New York in the area of Cypress Hills.

Taking a walk around exploring the neighborhood, I came across a beautiful family sitting outside enjoying the warmth of the evening. I introduced myself, and the hospitality included an oral history lesson on the neighborhood I found myself in for the day.
